I had placed an order on the 11th of December and selected 2nd Business Day delivery. I check on the 13th and the order was scheduled to be delivered on the 14th. The 14th comes and goes with no delivery, I check today and now it says January 2nd, ? I call customer service and told that there is a parts problem. Why wasn't I notified when i placed the order? This is a Christmas gift that I feel I had ordered in plenty of time and now I am ? Dell needs to make this right or I can see some major issues coming towards them.
I'd say welcome to the club--take a look at the rest of the forum and see how many folks are in the same boat.
After my months-long ordeal with Dell over a computer that I bought and received I have to say that it's not worth it. Go read my post if you want details.
So on Saturday I had received a call from a "supervisor", she told me she had put in to have my order expedited and that it will show up on my order status page Monday morning. So it is now Monday afternoon and its still showing the delivery date of 1/2/2013. What gives?
I received a phone call today 12/18/12 from a Dell representative and was told they don't have parts for my order. From what else I gathered from him, is that Dell takes orders, promises a delivery date before they know if they can even meet that date. That's not only bad customer service but a bad business practice. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes some sort of resolution.
This looks like it's happening to several people. It's either bait and switch or a bogus delivery date. It's only 3 shipping days till Christmas and I have been told by 2 separate cs reps that it will arrive on or before Dec24th. I seriously doubt that. This is the kind of service Dell has fallen to in the last year or so. Two years ago I would recommend Dell to friends because of their service. Now? No way. This is the second system this year I've ordered that's had one problem or another.
The Holiday season is a wrong time to disappoint customers. We remember and won't come back.
