GX260 cannot even start, no error message, no sound, need HELP !!!

Question

When i plugged in the power there is only an orange power light on, nothing else. Pressed the power button but nothing happening. Please give some recommendation. thank you.

a steady orange power light refers to a hardware failure. it can refer to any part in the system put is usually motherboard and/or processor. you could try disconnecting all external devices (keyb, mouse, monitor etc) and all internal devices (exp cards, drives). basically get it down to board., cpu, memory & power if you get the same orange led at that point try reseating the cpu or swapping it depending on the resluts of the reseat/swap you're looking at a replacement motherboard and/or processor. if the orange light changes after removing a different device then you can figure out which is causing the problem..

Its possible that a reseat of all componentry will fix your problem, but if not its most likely a mb. You could also try removing the ac power cable and cmos battery, hold down the power button for 20-30 seconds to remove the flea power, then replace everything and try to power on the system.

manfisto, follow the instructions per Nutts, but remove the memory as well. If you get a beep great, troubleshoot the memory. If not reseat the processor. Still to no avail, contact Dell Tech Support for replacement motherboard and processor.
