I have an FS7600 connected to 2 Equallogics on a site and there are 2 IP subnets on site separated via VLANs. One for PC’s (10.10.1.0/24) and the other for MACs (10.10.2.0/24). The FS7600 is installed in the PC subnet and is accessible via an IP in that subnet (10.10.1.250).

The MAC’s can also access the IP of the FS7600 in the PC subnet, but need to route to reach it and unfortunately the route they need to take means their network traffic has to go via a 100MB point to point connection between the their site and another HQ site which is a huge bottleneck for performance as you can imagine? We cannot change the network routing design under any circumstance for a number of reasons.

We do have control over the switches on the site and can amend VLAN port settings on the ports connected to the client network on the FS7600.

Is it possible to give the FS7600 an additional access/cluster IP in the MAC subnet whilst retaining it’s IP in the PC subnet to allow both MAC and PC clients to reach it without having to route?
