Hi,

I have been working on project to convert my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 gaming edition laptop into a desktop type computer. However I ran into an issue where the computer will turn itself off if the original display screen is not connect. I've tried to run the computer without the original display and only connecting an external monitor through the HDMI port without success. The computer shuts itself down ~30sec after booting. It will actually show the display on the monitor for a short time before the shutdown. 

Is there a BIOS setting I can change where it doesn't look for the monitor feedback? If not, can I trick the monitor port on the board?
