Hello everyone,

I just bought a second hand latitude 7470 and everything thing seems fine on the laptop, I only have one issue. I use a headset for conference calls and when I plug it into the jack the headphones work but the mic doesn't.

I got the pop-up asking what kind of device it was so obviously selected headset, and as I said i get audio coming through but nothing apart from a slight distortion sound, and at times a little bit of audio coming through the mic.

Any ideas what this is. If it is hardware i still have warranty on it, but i looked and it seemed clean and strange that the headphones would work fine, but the mic not.

I updated all the drivers and BIOS in the Dell support assistant but no joy.

I'm a bit stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated.
