Hi, I have the Dell Latitude E5550 laptop. I changed the password recently, but forgot it. I googled the problem but the answers were for other Dell laptops. Is there a way to get around the password, or do a hard reset?
I actually figured this out myself. While rebooting, before the Windows 10 logo pops up, I tried hitting different f keys. I think it was the F10 key; by this point I started hitting more than one trying to get it to reset tho! Apparently Dell likes to change which key does that from model to model. So hard reset accomplished, password changed.
Hello, I am trying to help my grandmother reset her laptop password that she has not used in a few years due to my little sister having an essay due Friday. It is a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Laptop. It gives me a "hint" and i recognize these 4 numbers but i do not recall using it with a password. I do not have my reset disc or usb. Im not sure if she would have signed up with a dell or microsoft account..? Is it possible i can reset this password? If so, can you help or give advise?
I'm trying to open my mom's old del inspiring 1545 laptop that uses windows 7 but I don't know her password and she passed away 5 years ago can you help please?
