I bought an Alienware Aurora system about a month ago, the system itself is great. Unfortunately, Dell/Alienware has developed the curious habit of not including a DVD copy of OS with your purchase, I called alienware to request a copy. 

First time I called, I asked them to send me an Alienware version of Win7 Ultimate 64bit, not the Dell OEM version as the latter wouldn't recognize my computer and therefore would treat my win7 installation as illegal. Days later, I received a Dell OEM version.

Second time I called, I reported the error and tried my best to stress the difference between Alienware and Dell OEM versions of OS. I got  an unequivocal reply that they would get it right this time. I just received the delivery moments ago, only to find out it’s still the Dell version.

This is getting very frustrating and ridiculous at the same time. I will try my luck tomorrow morning yet again. Meanwhile I wonder if any of you have succeeded in getting an Alienware OEM version of Win7 DVD.
