Big problem with computer
Okay I am having a problem with my Dimension 1100. If this if the wrong spot to post this i am sorry, im just assuming this is where since i think its a video problem sort of thing. So anyways, my problem is that while im playing certain games and sometimes just on the internet my computer screen goes black and stays like that while the programs continue to run. I have tried waiting for it to return to the normal screne but that does not happen so I go ahead and just turn it off which is annoying itself. I have pressed send error report many times and i have done everything it has told me to do but still it does this at least once a day. I was told that a BIOS upgrade would not fix this problem. So if anybody knows what to do for this i would appreciate it if you would help me out here, thanks.

- Do you have Power Saving Mode enabled for your monitor?Go to Control Panel>Display>Screen Saver> PowerAnd make sure "Turn off Monitor" is set to Never, as well as the other power saving modes. Also, have you updated your ATI or nVidia video card drivers? I am assuming that you have onboard video, but if you do have a PCI or AGP video card, update your video card drivers.
- Hi DesarmoThe link below shows all the download updates for your system. I recommend you update your BIOS first, restart, update your Intel Chipset second, restart, then update your video card driver if you have not.
- Thanks for the info. I downloaded the first two things. It said it was the same BIOS so i just did that. Updated the Chipset. But on the video card driver it said i had a newer one then the one i was trying to install so i didnt do that. I hope this fixes the problem, thanks alot for the help.
