Sometimes, when I'm working in an application, sometimes even Firefox, my computer will display a blue screen. It says something like, "Windows has detected a problem and is shutting down to prevent damage to your computer". Then it says, "Check to see if you have installed any new hardware or software". I didn't any new hardware, but I installed some new software, so I tried uninstalling some stuff. It also says to "disable BIOS memory caching and shadowing". I went into the BIOS, and no option of that kind is present, can you help me?

I have a Dell (obviously) Dimension 2400.
