PLEASE HELP!!!
we recently purchased a dell (specs below). and we have the SAME camcorder since 1990.. a curtis mathes that doubles as a VCR. but our shoulders are about to BREAK hehe so we dont use it anymore. and we are looking at some camcorders but we want to take advantage of USB 2 and get a camcorder that connects to USB 2, not USB 1. does anyone know of any camcorders that are USB 2 linked?? WE DONT HAVE FIREWIRE... but isnt USB2 better??
- dell 8200
- pentium 4 2.8 ghz
- 1 gb pc-800 ram
- 120 gb HD
- altec lansing THX ada995
- samsung dvd-rom
- philips dvd+r/rw
- roxio videowave 5 POWER - bought separately
- 21' trinitron monitor
- geforce 4 ti420
and we got this computer at the tail end of the outrageous deals when this setup was VERY VERY cheap, for what all it has.. :) even though they dont make the 8200 anymore :(
BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW OF USB2 CAMCORDERS?? thanks

Refine,
All digital video cameras have firewire ports ... A good place to start is at the "Windows" site ...
like here ...
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/moviemaker/getstarted/selectcamera.asp
this particular page happens to discuss "selecting a camera" that is suitable for importing movies into your computer. There are links off this page that lead to a complete listing of firewire cards, cameras etc etc etc ...
