I'm not sure if this is the right forum but but I'll try.

Yesterday i plugged in a web cam via a usb port and my system crashed. Now when i try to boot up i ge the message

Windowsxp could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

Any ideas on how to fix this?

How severe is this?
