I just got a Inspiron 8600 and was wondering if there was a way to adjust to CPU speed, especially if it is plugged in where power management is not a factor?  The power management tools don't do much besides letting you adjust when the screen will turn off, etc.

I thought that there was some kind of tweek for the processor.  Maybe not.

Does anyone know how to do this if it is possible or is it even necessary?
