Battery problem

Question

I have inspirion 9400 that I have reinstalled,
I have found all the relevant drivers for all the
hardware, and chipset except for the battery,
if anybody know wich peace of software will
make my laptop to recognize the battery please
replay to that thread.

If the battery is the same battery you recieved with the system and now the system is not seeing it, i'd say you have a faulty / dead battery.

There is no software / driver for the battery, it's just there and it just works.

This is my conclusion based on the information you were able to give.

when system is operating normally, the battery is always detected. you can verify it by pressing F2 during the dell logo after u power-up the computer. Install dell quickset, it will give you option in changing computer settings.   link for dell quickset, click here.   install also the nss, click here.
