Hi,

I've tried to apply the A07 BIOS update on my Inspiron 8600 running Windows XP, using I8600A07.exe. The process failed with a Blue Screen (BAD_CALLER_POOL or similar). On reboot, the BIOS notified me that the new image could not be loaded and sticked to A06. Whenever I try to run I8600A07.exe again, I get the following error message:

"An unexpected error occured while running the Flash application. Please reboot and try again. If the error continues, please contact technical help. Application Error Return: 0x00000604, Windows Error Return: 0x00000002".

Any idea what and why it may be? Note that I could previously patch my original BIOS all the way up to A06 without any problem.
