D400 drivers on XP

I formatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows XP on my new D400. I installed all drivers I can find on DELL's website but it still has 2 devices without drivers in Device Manager (with a yellow exclamation mark): "Base System Device" and "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" (I believe it's USB2.0 device). Can anyone point out where I can find drivers for them? I'm sure I've installed "intel chipset driver" and "dell notebook system software". Thanks!

yinghaoma,

Make sure you have Service Patch one and two installed from Microsoft's website.

Thank you for choosing Dell.

That Base driver is the TI cardbus driver which you can download from  D400 downloads.

You saved me too with this one. Thanks. One would think that if it shows up in the Device Manager as "Base System Device" and our infamous yellow question mark, that in the drop down for DOWNLOADS for that model there should be a choice of the same (Base System Device). It would save the next tech who runs into this problem a few more minutes of searching.
