Help! 8600 display troubles

Question

The display on my Inspiron 8600 is messed up.  All the colors are different than what they should be and certain pixels seem to be flashing.  I sent a screenshot to a friend and he said that everything looked normal, so I am pretty sure that it is a hardware problem.  Any recommendations on how to fix this?

I have no way of posting a pic to a server, except by signing up to a free webhost, which I don't really feel like doing just to post a pic.  I've already sent it to someone and they said it looked fine.  I have hooked up my 8600 to an external monitor as well and it was fine also, so I'm sure its my hardware and there is no way to show anybody what's wrong exactly unless they see it with their own eyes.        :\

if there are more than 5 pixels flashing or dead, it might be that your lcd is bad. since on the external monitor the video is ok, you have ruled out that the video card is ok. try reseting the lcd cable of your system, most of the time it helps. you can go to support.dell.com for documentation on how to remove the hinge cover so you can reseat the lcd connection.
