keyboard locked up

I was working on a document and accidentally held down a couple of keys while I was typing.  I got some message about slowing down my keyboard (didn't pay much attention) said yes,  and locked my keyboard.  Tried a reboot, but my keyboard is still locked.  Any ideas on how to reset without re-installing the keyboard software?
