No sound when playing DVDs

Hi,

I have an i8200 and I have a problem when I plays DVDs using Power DVD. There is no sound although I can see the movie. The same problem stands using Win DVD also.

However the sound is ok when I use Media Player to see the DVDs.

Can someone propose something about this strange problem?

Thanks,

Denis

dimoss,

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

Check the software volume control settings:

Click Start and then click Run.
Type sndvol32 in the dialog box and click OK.
Verify that the Main volume control is turned up and there is not a check mark next to Mute, indicating that it is muted.
Verify that your CD volume is turned up at least 50% and not muted.

Hi,

I checked everything and it works except in programs like PowerDVD and WinDVD. The mute stops every sound, not only during playing DVD's in specific programs.
Thanks,

Denis
