Hello all. I have recently (starting in mid December) began having what appears to be overheating problems with my E1705 laptop. I'll be on the laptop for a little while, and the CPU usage will go to 100%. But, it's no single program taking up the CPU cycles, it is caused by the top 5-7 applications I have open using an even amount of CPU cycles, which leads me to believe that the CPU overheats and throttles its speed down to prevent damage. I reformatted a few times to see if a clearn install would solve the problem, but it did not. I emailed Customer Support about the problem, and after 2 months of emails back forth, they finally sent someone to replace the CPU fan. This appeared to have fixed the problem at first, but now the system is doing the same thing again. I have emailed Customer Support again, but as a Computer Science student I really can't be waiting months at a time while they try to figure out what will solve my problem. I wish I could return the laptop for a new one or a refund, but I understand that I can't do that since I've had it for almost 2 years now. Is there anything else I could do to fix the system?
