Problem with Vostro 1500 video?

Hopefully you didn't delete the Dell diagnostic partition. If you didn't, run it on the video card. F12 at boot.

Just a follow up: 1) Running Vista Ultimate 32 bit 2) Tried the latest drivers from Dell's site, along with drivers on CD 3) If I roll back the driver to the Microsoft one dated 6.21.2006 driver version 6.0.6000.16386 it seems to work fine. nVidia driver in use is: 6.14.2007 Driver Version: 7.15.11.143 Again, when I use the default MSFT driver, it works - when I install the nVidia driver, it fails.

Just an update:

I read that Dell has an internal bulletin concerning the nVidia 8600 GM card and how it should be replaced - I inquired with Dell and they sent a replacement - it is now working properly with Aero enabled.  So if anyone is having an issue with the nVidia chips and seeing artifacts, etc....chat or call Dell, mention that there is an internal bulletin regarding replacing the graphics chipset.
