updated XP driver for Intel GM965

Has anyone successfully updated the XP video driver for the Intel GM965 chipset?

 

 I have A Vostro 1500 with its initial 2007 driver, but Intel has several newer drivers that support Shading.

 (the over one year old original Dell driver does not)

 

The manual install solution of the Intel driver does not work as it says that their driver "is not validated by the manufacturer for installation on your machine"

    I know it's Vista specific, but the differences are minor. You have to get to the button "Have disk ..." otherwise you won't be able to install it.

    Your solution worked beautifully 7oby - an easy process once you know to use the Intel zip file. Thanks for taking the time to solve my problem.
