I recently downloaded the June '03 Windows "Critical Update" patch for the NVIDIA GEForce2 Go drivers on my boss's laptop, which I've been using at work.  (Why the Windows Update engine just notified me of a 6-month-old patch, I don't know, but I've never had such a problem with one, either!)

After downloading, the resolution is sharper (not that I had any complaints before), but everything on the display appears tiny--sometimes so small as to be unreadable. 

I've been unable to fix this problem. 

I've fiddled with every setting available under Display Properties.  For example, I've increased the display font size and adjusted the size of the desktop icons, but that doesn't help anything else.  Adjusting the # of pixels (from 1400x1050 to 1280x1024) obviously makes things larger but blurry.  I think I managed to uninstall the Windows Update, but that didn't help, either.  I tried downloading the latest drivers from NVIDIA, but the resultant display management panels don't even remotely match NVIDIA's documentation for that driver release.  Dell's support site hasn't been helpful, either.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Not only am I not getting paid for the hours and hours I spend trying to fix it, but if I don't succeed by the time I have to return this laptop (very soon), my job could be in jeopardy...
