U2417H, Optiplex 7010, connection?

I'm trying to connect U2417H to Optiplex 7010 computer through DVI output and a display port adapter to the monitor. But its not working. Any ideas?

That will not work. PC DVI cannot upconvert to monitor DP in port unless you purchase an expensive DVI to DP converter.You should connect like this =Optiplex 7010 DVI out port --> DVI to HDMI converter --> U2417H HDMI in port
