Im using a Lenovo Yoga 720 and using its USB-C Port to connect it with Dell U2719DC Monitor via USB-C -> USB-C. I use two Downstream USB Ports of the Monitor for my Wireless Mouse and Keyboard USB dongles. But i have 2 Problems with that:


1. When i turn on my laptop first and after that i turn on the monitor i get a picture displayed on the monitor via USB-C but my inputs Keyboard/Mouse are not recognized. Only powering the Monitor Off and On helps to recognize my mouse and keyboard. (sometimes takes two or three attempts) . The otherway arround it works fine e.g. powering the monitor first and then the laptop. This behaviour is reproducable 100% of the time. Is this working as intended? Because i thought the USB-C should send the inputs of mouse and keyboard no matter what device is powered on first. Also it is incosistent with its altmode for displayport which works everytime no matter what device is powered on first. Is there a way to fix this? I dont want to mind which device i have to power on first to work properly.


2. The mouse keeps losing the connection after the monitor runs roughly 1 or 2 minutes. The connection loss is short like 1 second but it is bugging me really. When I plug in the USB mouse dongle directly in my laptop the mouse works flawlessly also i have not had any trouble before with the mouse. What could cause this behaviour and is there a way to fix this?


I have installed the USB-C Monitor Driver from:

But the driver didnt help.


Is there any way if i can check if the USB Port-C of the monitor is defect regarding connected peripherals?


I bought the monitor primarly for this feature and it does not work for me as i expected it to work. Im really happy so far with the picture as backlight bleeding is pretty much non existant on this model which is extraordniary nice.
