networker out of sync?

I was in the middle of a backup when I ran out of tapes in the correct backup pool. I relabeled a tape from another backup pool to the pool I needed for the backup. Networker relabeled the tape OK and it showed up in the volumes list as the correct tape, but whenever networker tries to use the tape for the backup it tries to verify the label and says "no tape label found"

Mounting the tape gives this error:

Mon 01:57:18 media info: loading volume ARC604L2 into rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn
Mon 01:58:12 rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn Verify label operation in progress
Mon 01:58:21 media warning: rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn reading: no tape label found
Mon 01:58:21 rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn no tape label found
Mon 01:58:21 rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn Eject operation in progress
Mon 01:58:41 rd=maximus:/dev/rmt/2cbn ejected

I don't want to restart the backup from scratch if I don't have to because it is mostly done. Is there any way to get Networker to figure out that the newly labeled tape is OK to use?

thanks,

Eli

Thanks for replying. I think it was labeled on a different tape drive. We have a jukebox with 58 tapes and 4 read/write heads. I think I labeled it with another head. I just tried to relabel the tape with the same head as I use for backing up this pool (which is a Solaris full backup). Sorry for being confused. I don't understand this whole thing very well. Here is what I got:

Was the tape labeled from the same system/tape drive? Could be an issue with block size. Could try labeling (with mount after label) another tape on the same tape drive. NW may then know the tape is there and ready and begin writing to it.

I don't have my nsrjb command right in front of me, Hrvoje can probably givve the exact command.

Delete the tape from media db first as you have duplicate entry and then relabel it.

Thanks. I already tried that and while it didn't work directly, I belive it was that and then re-inventorying the tape (not sure exactly, I tried a few things) and it worked. Thanks to you and Bobby for helping.
