Well, I am shooting in the dark for some assistance.

 

We installed five PowerConnect 3424P PoE switches in a oceanside location.  Within three months four of the five switches were soo severely corroded that they are no longer functioning.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to protect the switches in this enviornment?

 

We are considering trying to find some sealed/filtered rack mount enclosure that can filter out the salt and humidity out of the air.

 

Any other ideas?
