I have a 1.5 year old XPS/Dimension 410/9200 that has had no problems until now. My ethernet connection is not being recognized after previously running successfully. The error message that I get is that my "network cable is unplugged." Here is what I have done to attempt to establish connection:

 

Secured both ends of the ethernet cable.

Tried using another ethernet cable.

Tried the establish IP thing.....didn't work.

Powered down everything, unplugged, and powered up after 30 minutes. After I did this, both lights did come on (at connection points) and the message stated that the connection was there, but not fast enough. Now both lights are out again and back to the "unplugged" message.  

 

Could my networking card be bad?
