Rescue, You can buy these at any computer store. If your wife's pc is not already wireless capable, you'll also need to buy an "antenna board" to install in the back of her PC(I'm assuming desktop here..not a pc guru.:smileyvery-happy:)

I installed a wireless antenna board in my wife desktop, pretty simple, now we can both setup anywhere around the house. The router costs between $50-$80.00.  My wife's board cost me another $69.00, I think it was. I'm new to this stuff too.

It's an Inspiron so he is referring to a notebook.

There are 2 choices when adding a wireless adapter to a notebook externally (if internal mini-PCI is not an option) - PCMCIA or USB.

You mentioned internal mini-PCI, PCMCIA, USB. Truth is, I'm not crystal clear on what any of those things are (well, I know the USB port is where you plug in the phone cord, but that's about it -- and I'm trying to shed the phone cord). Can you please sort this out, using little words and speaking very slowly in English? Thanks.
