I've disabled my wireless...how do I 'enable' it???

Please help!  I took our Dell laptop to a conference, and wanted to check email while there.  I was told there was wireless in the building, and was given the name of the connection.  My available networks showed me about 5 local connections, but none was the name the hotel told me.  So I deleted all 5 from the "available" portion of the connections window.  I never was able to connect to anything after this, including when I returned home to my wireless router.  The computer shows that it recognizes my router, but not that it's "available"

When I accessed the help feature in the computer, I finally found the problem.  Apparantly, when you delete all of the names of the available wireless networks, it disables the wireless system in your computer.  The help feature gave me no options on how to re-enable my wireless though!  And we're very frustrated!!!!!  When we tried to figure it out on our own, a message pops up that states we do not have administrator access.  ???  We've never set up administrator authorities, and we're the only 2 people that have ever used this laptop.

sigh.  please help.  I can't believe that the only solution would be to reinstall the operating system.
