Latitude X300 and Network Card Error

Hello:

Everything was working fine, but I then installed a new hard disk, reinstalled XP and used the driver disk to install drivers:

1. My Device Manager stills shows a yellow "?" against the network card.  I have installed the Broadcom integrated driver many times (it's the only non-wireless network driver that appears on the Dell X300 download page) but it doesn't work.

2. Why is the Drivers disk so infuriating?  You have to guess which drivers you need whereas on my Compaq I just reinstalled everything using one disk.

Many thanks

Riaz

    Hi there Riaz

Have you solved your problem?  If not I believe what you need are the Broadcom Integrated Controller drivers.  Check out the X300 downloads page and the "Network Drivers" section and then look for "NDIS 5 and NDIS 5.1 driver release for the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller".

    Hope this helps.
