Network Problems - was working before - not now

Network Layout:

Computer 1: Compaq Presario (Win 98, Pent. II) Name = COMPAQ
Computer 2: Dell Dimension (Win XP Home, Pent. 4) Name = DELL
Computer 3: Dell Inspiron 6000 (Win XP Media, Centrino) Name = LAPTOP (Problem PC)

All are connected to a Linksys WRT54G router which is connected to internet

Diagnostics: Computers 1 and 2 are able to communicate correctly (File and print sharing work correctly and are able to access internet)

All PCs are able to access the internet

Computer 3:
Pings:
192.168.1.100 (PC #2) ---> Works
DELL ---> Host not found
192.168.1.101 (PC #1) ---> Works
COMPAQ ---> Host not found
192.168.1.102 (PC #3) ---> Works
LAPTOP ---> Works

Ping from COMPAQ to LAPTOP:  Host not found
Ping from COMPAQ to 192.168.1.102: Host not found
Ping from DELL to LAPTOP:  Host not found
Ping from DELL to 192.168.1.102: Host not found

In short, the laptop is able to ping the other computers if the IP address is used, but not if I use the name of the PC.  The other computers are unable to even ping the Laptop PC

Attempts to fix:
System Restore:
Reset router and all PCs
Checked Workgroup names and PC names
Attempted bypass of router (directly connected Laptop to Dell)

The entire network has been working perfectly for 2 months, and all the sudden, this problem occured when the lapton pc lost its network connection.

Any ideas on why this is happening, or even better, how to fix the problem?
