new belkin n express card
I just bought a belkin express wireless n card to use on my dell e1705 i installed everything but it still only reads that i am connected up to my n network but only recieving the signal at 54,0 mbps , i have a older dell c600 that i have hooked up to the same system and using a regular network card and that computer hooks up to the system and reads 140.0 mpbs so i know its not the router any idea what is wrong with my e1705 that i cant get it to go as fast ?

It could be an incompatibility between the adapter and the router. What are you using for a router

Im using a new belkin n router and running windows xp media center on my laptop on my other laptop (c600) i am running window 2000 and as i said before it works fine and gets up to double the speed so i dont think its the router possibly some settings in my e1705 but dont know.
