I just got a dell laptop with wireless and ran down to the local apple store. i got a connection but then i didn't know how to get on the internet. ok dumb, i know, but my configured isp is a dialup so it wouldn't work, and then i clicked on internet explorer and it didn't do anything.  I am sure there is a FAQ or tutorial out there somewhere which explains what to do once you get a connection -- everything i've seen is just about how to connect. So - at the risk of being stupid, can someone please direct me to info on what to do once there is a connection? It's frustrating to see the little icon light up but not go anywhere.....

thanks a lot, and enjoy the laugh on me, i don't mind, so long as i figure it out :-)  The first time I talked to a tech (in the old dos days) i actually spelled out "backslash" on the command prompt....now it's just a funny story!
