Where did my connection go?

I have an Inspirion 6000 and have been using the wireless connectivity without issue for 15 months, suddenly now I have run into an issue.  No networks show as being available within the Wireless Network Connection manager - normally I can connect to 10 or so, including my own, which I verified is working with a different wireless laptop.  I recycled the computer, router, modem etc. several times.  Seems like something that should be easy to fix but I'm having a hard time even knowing where to go for help.

Is your wireless radio turned off?  The Fn F2 key toggles the radio on and off.  It's not instantaneous, so you have to wait several seconds after pressing the key combination.

I have the same problem.  Only seems to be certain APs with me (I can see my burglar alarm and someonelse's private AP across the road).

I came across this on another board.  Could it be a Vista problem?

Thanks Steve - that's exactly what happened.  I would have never found that myself - now I know.
