wireless internet not working

all of the sudden my wireless internet on my notebook quit working, and it wont work with a cable.  it keeps saying that i am connected but that there is little or no connectivity and i dont know why it is doing this and can i fix it?

    Try downloading and running winsockfix for Windows XP from the Here
     
    Of course you are going to have to download it on a computer with a working internet connection then copy to removable media so you can get it onto the problem computer.

    look the only way i know you can fix this is by doing a system restore to do tthis go to start
    all programs accesories and then system restore.choose a date before you got that problem and yor problem is solved
