Extending System Partition

My PE 4400 has a PERC 3/Di controller. It is configured with two virtual disks - both RAID-5. Disk 0 is 6 GB (basic disk) containing the 31 MB Dell utility partition; the 3.9 GB system partition; and 2 GB of unallocated space. I'd like to expand the system partition into the unallocated space. What is the best of the way to do this. It appears that I can convert the basic disk to dynamic and then expand the system partition. Would the Dell utility partition function on a dynamic disk? Is there a way to leave the disk as a basic disk and expand the system partition it?

There are several options, but they are all dependant on the OS that you are running.  If you are running Windows 2000 Server then you can use Partition Magic or the Dell ExtPart utility.  If you are running Windows 2003 Server then you can use either of the before mentioned, or DiskPart (built into the OS now).

Thanks for the reply Mark. It's Windows 2000 server so I'll use ExtPart. Is there documentation for it somewhere?
