stop I/O

Hello Dell storage experts:

I am going to update disk firmware in PowerVault ME5024 storage. Guidelines tells to stop I/O before the firmware update. but I still could not find the way of doing so. please guide to me stop I/O of system.

    Stop I/O meant to shutdown the Hosts.    I do FW Disk Updates when the hosts doing "low IO" and not their max. I havent a problem to do so.
