I was afraid that was going to be the answer :( I think we may go this route regardless, we've been having NTFS consistancy issues with the volumes hooked to this particular controller, and was contemplating a reload because of that.
The Perc3Di is integrated into the motherboard. This can't be upgraded as such. The only option would be to add a PERC4SC/DC and connect the cable from the backplane to it (instead of the onboard perc3di). One thing is that the Perc3Di is an Adaptec raid controller and the PERC4 series are all LSI, so it's unlikely that this change can be done w/o backing up data, changing the config and restoring data.
