Precision 7810 tower doesn't recognize usb keyboard at boot or bios settings - only ps2
Background. Just purchased a refurb Precision 7810 tower off Amazon. 28 cpu cores, 128GB DDR4 RAM, added 2TB M.2 drive on 16x PCIe card as boot drive - OS is Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
Problem: on boot the system does not recognize a usb keyboard - only a ps2 keyboard. After using the PS2 keyboard to enter bios - usb keyboard still not recognized. This is after popping the bios button battery to reset the bios. USB keyboard didn't work before, doesn't work after bios reset.
Really don't want to keep a ps2 keyboard around just to get into the bios of the 7810.
Once booted into Ubuntu Linux 22.04 - usb keyboard and mouse work just fine. All usb ports work fine after booting into Linux.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
