I installed a new SSD into the secondary drive bay (laptop came without one). The BIOS (and windows) will not detect it, I have tried updating the BIOS to the newest version. Is there a particular setting I need to enable to use this drive?
I installed the same drive on my desktop computer and it worked right away.
Thank you for contacting us, we would be happy to help you answer your query, based on the symptoms outlined, we would like to know more about the system, please share the service tag for us to review and assist you accordingly.
Looks like we missed the service tag you had shared earlier, sorry about the delay in response, we see that the unit was shipped with NVMe drive and you must have installed the 2.5" drive, please reboot and tap F2 key to enter the system BIOS > System configuration >Drives> check mark both the SATA and M.2 > save and exit. This should recognize the drive, in case of the drive not being detected here, then it is suspected to faulty drive, would suggest trying another drive. ^PM
