A940 Help

changed a black ink cartridge about a month ago. I can print an e-mail and a document using Word.  I can't print envelopes.  What's up?  I could print envelopes before changing cartridge.  Sounds like its printing, but shoots out blank envelope.  Help.

Just something to check, Is the orientation the same as you were using? It sounds like the program you are printing from is printing an envelope on another portion of the paper width. You could try printing an envelope but have paper in the printer instead of the envelope and see where the print is compared to where you were feeding the envelope.

I tried the blank sheet of paper as suggested, sounds like its printing but came out blank. I just don't understand. Thanks for replying, got any other suggestions?

I have this same problem every time I change an ink cartridge in my A940 all in one printer. The only solution I found to work was to do a "restore time" on my hard drive. I would restore my computer to a date prior to when I actually installed my new cartridge. Than everything would start working correctly again. This is weird and we should not have to do this. There must be some strange gliched with this particular printer.   I have had times when my printer will print all "red" colored ink on envelopes but everything else like 8x10 paper would print black. I think Dell has a manufacturer problem with the printer.
