I used my hosts file for a redirect but when I reverted the file back to normal the site that I was redirecting from (youtube.com, origin.com) was not unable to obtaining the site. I got the internet can not connect to this webpage but when I run tracert everything looks fine. I cleaned my hosts, got one from Microsoft, downloaded Microsoft fix it tool, deleted it. flushing dns every time with restarts. still nothing some one please help really annoying.

because this is a duplicate if I don't give a reasons this thread will most likely get deleted for being a duplicate. So hears the reason its clearly about software taking in the fact that is the hosts file.

if you would like to move this thread again I would ask you to post and give a reason why your moving it and saying its clearly a virus because the hosts file does not work like that or something. That  is why it's hear so unless you have some proof that its some sort of virus or spyware please don't move or delete this thread.
