I have an Inspiron 620 with windows 7 home premium, and cannot get roxio creator 2012 to install. The computer came with roxio starter (also 2012) from dell, there is a link on the mainscreen when you open starter that offers dell owners  creator 2012 upgrade (at $50 off the price) to obtain all the premium features greyed out in starter. I bit and had roxio send me the physical disk so I could install at my leisure. Each attempt to intall failed. I turned off the antivirus, turned off the firewall, turned off windows defender, installed with roxio starter still installed (this is supposed to be an upgrade install) installed with roxio starter uninstalled, even tried safemode installation. None of these helped. Each time it would near completion of install the software would do a rollback and uninstall everything it had just installed. I have since obtained a full refund from roxio and had to go to my dell downloads to reinstall starter (which does install), but I am curious as to what the solution to this is, and if there isn't one, why would dell/roxio offer a product that even roxio tech support couldn't help install?! Has anyone else had this issue? found a solution?
