ESXi 5 build new server - migrate to

Question

I currenlty have Discovery manager 6.8 installed on Windwos server 2003, on ESXi 5.0 I am looking to upgrade the server to Server 2008 R2.  the DB is installed on a remote SQL server. I was told all I need to do is install DM 6.8 on the new server and point to the SQL DB.  all jobs would be retained. Has anyone ever migrated thier exsisting config to a new server?

SourceOne servers are agnostic. Configuration data is stored in SQL Sent from my iPad

So I can change the server name?  I see that is some of the configuration it has the curent server name.  Are there any know documentation for migrating to another server?
