I’m having a curious problem of sorts with my XPS 400. Everything is working just fine - had it in operation for about three months now - never skips a beat. However, the hard drive accesses every ten to 15 seconds. It’s very brief - sometimes so brief that the drive access light does not come on. I never had this issue with other Dell Dimensions. Is this normal behavior for the XPS? Any one else have this issue with their XPS?

I’m running XP Professional. I don’t have any background applications running other than the usual suspects that XP loads up. Would appreciate any ideas as to the cause and if it is something that I should be concerned about. Thanks!
