I have a dimension 8300 with a "hl-dt-st dvd+rw gra -4120b" device. Every time I use Roxoi Easy Media Creator 7 or Sonic to create a dvd or burn an ISO file, I get error messages. The disc pops out when using Sonic and a window says Error (that's all). When I use Roxio it immediately pops the disc out and says to use a proper format dvd+r at a 40.1x speed write capability. Well, I can't change the write speed.
I updated the driver and it still happens. What should I do?

Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1; Section 20, article 3; Section 12, article 10. Next go to Section 15, article 14 and verify that the drive is running in DMA mode and not PIO mode.
Best Regards
