Array Manager Database is Down
I have ITAssistant configured to send alerts in several different areas (Software, Clustering, Storage, Network, etc) and I received an alert, "Array Manager Database is Down". The server did not fail nor was it bounced. What caused this message and what specifically does it mean? Within 30 seconds an alert was posted, "Array Manager Database is UP". I can understand this message occurring when bouncing a server or stopping a service but there was no human intervention at the time this occurred.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Kimberly

I too have seen this issue and would be keen to learn what causes this alert.

This message appears when a PERC driver or firmware upgraded is needed. Go to your array manager on the server that's reporting the error, click on array manager utilities and then the versions tab. If you need to upgrade something it will say FAILED. Sometimes it may not say failed. Bottom line ....just make sure your drivers and firmware are up to date.
I hope this helps! It sure helped me.

Can anybody verify that this is what the problem is. We are in the proccess of installing OM and updating all perc's , perc drivers, esm and bios for each server so the servers that are giving this error should be up to date.
this error is driving my boss and I crazy
