Apache OpenOffice 4.1.10 is a Security release incorporating important bug fixes. All users of Apache OpenOffice 4.1.9 or earlier are strongly advised to upgrade. You can download Apache OpenOffice 4.1.10 here.
If you are upgrading from an earlier release you can verify that the release upgrade worked by opening the About box (menu "Help - About OpenOffice") for the version number.

Hello all,we recently updated Apache OpenOffice to Version 4.1.10 addressing an important security vulnerability. A person with malicious intend can create a document that automatically executes Application from an Document hyperlink.However the fix went now to far, and even links that are useful are blocked, and need to be conformed by users. Which can be annoying. We are working on improvements, and evaluating links that are not causing damage.For this we need your cooperation. If you use 4.1.10 and you are annoyed please let us know the context the popup appears, so we can improve the usability, while providing as much safety as possible.
