I have a Dimension 3000 with Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack Two. My automatic update switch is ON. The computer came with McAfee Security Center. McAfee reports that I am "fully protected" but then seems to infer that their Internet Security Suite is needed (for more money). My Windows Firewall is ON I have the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot installed and run updates and scans weekly. However, a new issue of USAA magazine tells me that I should run Anti virus Software in addition to the anti-spyware software and the Firewall. I currently do not seem to have any problems. Do I need more software?
