Battery calibration lost after using Dell command power manager
Today i changed the settings in dell command from adaptive to custom while i was having 50%percent battery and suddenly battery percentage became 100%(charger was not plugged in) and from that instance i am having battery issues. Though the display shows 100% in reality its charged only till 50% i get the same run time as 50% battery and charging speed is also same time as 0-50%. The bios also shows the same battery percent as the OS and i tried the following
1.Reset the bios to factory defaults
2.Charge to 100% and back to 6%
3.Uninstall and reinstall battery drivers in device manager
4.Remove and reinsert battery.
i read somewhere that battery EEPROM reset will solve the issue but that is not an option.
Any other suggestions are welcome

Seems like the problem is fixed by bios update but I still get battery low message on Windows 10 when bios shows 50% battery and lasts 1hr 40min which is typical. There is miss match in battery percentage displayed on OS and bios and there is orange led glowing at 50% battery. And service tag is

Now setting the charge level to 100% in bios charges the battery to 100% and Runs for 3hr 41min with light usage. The only issue is orange led glowing at even 100% and windows 10 showing low battery along with incorrect percentages than compared to BIOS .All i did was downgrade the BIOS and update to latest since it was running the latest BIOS before. I will try reinstalling windows and see if it solves the problem this weekend. May i know what may be resolution time for this issue in service center and cost involved.

Is this resolved, I am facing a similar issue with a XPS15, going to 0% fast, then after restarting and having the orange led the system keeps running for hours. Dell powermanager reports the battery is bad but when I take the time it stays on after going from 100% to 0% in 30 minutes it is prety fine.

Hi neetu jain, thank you for trying these steps. Can you update the BIOS as well to the latest version from the Dell support site for your system and check if this helps.
Does changing back to adaptive mode also gives you the same error? What is the status of adapter/ battery in BIOS?
Please private message us the service tag of the system so that we can check on the system configuration as well.
